Myrtle Beach-Part 2

Let's talk pictures................the 1st picture.......we drove until we were too tired to continue, so we got to Ashville, which was half way, and decided to stay at the Budget Motel, it was nice, super nice, and clean and very reasonable! We were all happy to have a nice bed to sleep in!

2nd-I love the Broadway at the Beach sign, it offers lots of family fun and night life! Also means our condo is 10 mins away, doesn't get better then that!

3rd-Found this scrapbook store, they had some MB paper and some cool soccer paper. it was nice to pop in for a few mins.

4th- Senor Frogs is at Broadway at the Beach, lots and lots of fun, they had a balloon maker, a DJ, loud music, all around fun for sure. We left with balloon hats that were 24 inches tall.

5th-This frog was at Senor Frogs on a huge Whiskey Barrel and BC managed to pull it off, this thing was huge, I'm guessing 4 foot tall. Glad my boy was ok, he was super embarassed, ofcourse everyone was staring at us! A lil ice cream and all was well again.

6th- this was the sign at Barefoot Landing, can we say YIKES........I don't want any part of Alligators. It's a lil creepy walking over the floating bridge with that sign there!

The trip was great, boys had fun. It was a great refresher for me and the hubs. Now back to work and everyday life!

Myrtle Beach-Part 1

We had an absolute blast! What a wonderful week to relax, and just enjoy being with family! It was a little cooler then I like, so I'm thinking we won't go back for fall break! Here is the view from our room, on our balcony.

Not a bad view at all, we were on the 3rd floor, 2 double beds, a LR-DR combo, and fully equipped kitchen.
Here are a few bird pics I took while we were there.
These birds were everywhere, so pretty.

One of my favorite pictures that were taken all week is this one:

I am totally in love with these boys, so BLESSED and THANKFUL for them, this picture may or may not end up on our Christmas card, although you can't see their sweet little faces, I just love how they are looking at the ocean, sitting together, and being best buds! EE was super protective of his brother while near the ocean.
We did lose one of our sand castle buckets in the ocean, it got full of water and sank. Pretty sure it was on purpose, I have a pretty inquisitive 6 year old :-)

EE may be a future photographer, he took this picture of me and the hubs:

I will give you all the details in part 2, with lots more pictures of food & fun.

Friday night is the Black Cat Chase 5K, wish me luck. I'm super excited.

Firefighter Honor/Color Guard

I AM SO PROUD OF THIS GUY!

My husband is on the front row, the last guy dressed in white.
He takes his job serious, and he loves what he does!

I love you Brandon, you are the absolute best! :)

I love lots to update, so be checking back! We have our beach trip planned, our 1 night camping trip (boo on only 1 night, but doesn't work with the hubs schedule), my 5K is next week, (I'm semi ready), hardwood is down in 2 rooms, so we have 2 more to go, it looks great! The boys got a new bedroom suite also!

Lots to update you on!

Bring on the hardwood

We are getting new floors tomorrow morning, and I can't wait. Right now we have carpet, we had it installed when I was pregnant with BC and well it lasted 4 years, and that's it! So after next week we will be carpet free, none in the house at all! I'm stoked!
I moved most everything tonight, and cleaned out the LR closet, but haven't touched the hall closet yet, the LR closet was very organized, like 3 boxes and a few odds/ends pieces. The rest of the LR wasn't so easy!

After tomorrow they are going to do a room or two at a time. Since we are having a house sitter they might be able to do a room while we are gone on vacay, which will be super nice!

This is the color we picked what do you think? We are going with the Rosso, bottom left!

With our boys, hardwood is the only way to go!

I will post before/after although I might be a little embarrased with the before pics, lots of spills and accidents, but it happens with toddlers in the house!

A*dor*able........

My friend sent me a link she found on Pinterest, and it was for the Dollar Tree pumpkins that you cut in half, paint and decorate! I loved them, now mine doesn't look quite as good, I think they look, OK. We always decorate pumpkins at our house! We have a cute Halloween party at our house, and we just like to be festive! We love to decorate fake pumpkins, so we can keep them and add to our collection! So here is the one for EE teacher......................

Mrs. Shayla LOVES UK, so I thought it would be a cute lil gift to send her for taking care of our boy everyday! :-)
I have 7 more to decorate, so I better get busy! Hopefully I will get to post a picture!

As I stated in yesterday's post................I'm addicted to scrapbooking, and today I had a little time to work on some pages, one of those pages were the disney pages, so I think it's pretty close! What do you think?
***My page is on the left, and the page I copied is on the rt***

I also completed 3 pages in BC album for soccer, and 3 more Disney pages in addition to the one above.

Would love to see some other blogger's scrapbooks!

ADDICTED..............to scrapbooking

Ok, let me give you a little back story here! I've ALWAYS wanted to scrapbook, I've always admired all of my friends scrapbooks, and their scrapbooking skills. It's hard to not want to scrap with being a photographer and having 2 of the cutest kids in town, and not to mention thousands of photos begging to be in a scrapbook.

So, last Christmas I told the hubs I wanted a photo album that held 100, 4x6 photos, but had a baseball cover, well he bought the correct cover, but it was on a, wait for it,...................SCRAPBOOK! I was sold, thrilled, and felt like a 6 year old at Christmas, but immediately knew I would be in trouble, because I wanted my photos to be the best!

Nearly 10 months later and about $300.00 out of pocket I have 10 pages complete for EE's album, and just bought an album for Bre! I had to "upgrade" the original scrapbook (Thanks Tina!) because I didn't like the binding option!

Here is a picture of what I bought this week! Soccer scrapbooking items, and a Disney Character Meals sticker for our Disney page!
These are a few pages that I'm going to make also! Thanks to Tina and her cricut, I was able to cut the Mickey Ears and the words "Disney Magic" with the Disney Font!

Wish me luck, I can't wait to show you my Disney Magic Page, I hope it looks just as cute as the one above!

My next purchase is a Cricut, I'm so in love with it!

I know it is expensive, but I'm thrilled with the beautiful albums I'm making for my boys, and hope that one day they will appreciate them as much as I do!

I'm hoping to post a little more often, we have new hardwood floors coming this week, and the boys got new bedroom suites, so now we are officially broke.

If you scrapbook, I'd love to see your pages, let me know.

Playing with the big boys!

And I really mean the big boys! EE was asked by a coach on the 7/8 yr old league to play up on their team as they were short a player! I was super excited, as they only ask the best of the best to play up in the hopes that they actually help them to win! Excited until I pulled up to the field............some of the kids on the 7/8 team are almost 9, our lil guy just turned 6! That's a huge age gap at this age, as well as a big gap in talent!

When EE saw the big boys he got nervous, he also didn't know but 1 kid on this team, so he said, "nope, I'm not playing, I don't know anyone" After a little encouraging (because we all need to be encouraged at times) he took the field, playing Right Field, I had prepared him that he would most likely play outfield due to him being the youngest, and etc, etc.

One of the first batters on the other team hit the ball right over first base and my EE picked up the ball and almost threw him out from the OUTFIELD! That rarely happens in that league. I was stoked, one of the next plays the 2nd baseman missed it, EE fielded the ball, and fired it to 2nd, and kept the runner at first from advancing! The team we played most likely thought they had a huge advantage since they had a 5/6 yr old kid on there team! EE played well, not just well, but extremely well!

The next inning he was moved to 2nd, he almost caught a popup, but didn't, he did stop it from going to the outfield, he was on his belly and tossed it to 2nd, and the runner was...........wait for it.........OUT!

I know what your thinking, no way.......the kid is only 6 and he played that well against 7/8 yr olds, but he did. He hung tuff the entire game!

Let' s move to batting, in the 5/6 yr league, you get 4 pitch's if you don't hit it, then you must hit from the T, you get 2 chances/swings on the T, then you are out! In the 7/8 league, 3 strikes and your out! Our lil guy made contact all 3 times up to bat and never got throwed out at first. He batted a 1000. UNBELIEVABLE TO SAY THE LEAST!

Ethan's Poc and Papaw came to the game, and they both left impressed! We knew he had talent but not that kind of talent!

Here he is congratulating the other team, they won by one run, it was a great game!
Here is a picture of him at the "after talk" with the team, the coach let EE break it down

He had a great time, and can't wait to move up to the "big boy league"

WEIGHTLOSS UPDATE:  I lost 1.5 last week as of Friday, so I thought that was pretty good, but I really wanted to push myself and added alot of strengthening exercise Friday night and I weighed again Sat. morning and lost another 1.5, so last week I lost 3 pounds, I was THRILLED! I'm at the lowest weight I've been in the last 9 years! :)
